We really don't know what the problem is. Hopefully you guys can help me with this. Kind regards, Mo. Wednesday, June 18, AM. Hi, What's the folder structure of your Office installation source? Thursday, June 19, AM. Hi Ethan, Yes indeed, we have extraced the files in Updates folder just like you mentioned. Friday, June 20, AM. It's not standard to have the x32 folder Don, I am sorry, but I did not show you all the files that are contained in the folder 'Updates'.
Friday, June 20, PM. If the update has any prerequisite updates, get those too. Add the updates to a mounted or online image. For packages with dependencies, either install the packages in order, or add them all at once using a single DISM command.
If you add an update to an offline image after it's applied to a target device, re-run BCDBoot to ensure that any updated boot files from the update are copied to the system partition.
Review the resulting list of packages and verify that the list contains the package. Nope, we generally only rebuild the base image when we're preparing for a site-wide re-image. Any imaging outside of this schedule will install the updates as part of the MDT sequence, and WSUS takes care of updates to existing machines naturally.
It would be a trivial task to compose a base image every month, however. My hope was to have a monthly or every other month image. Though you do need to test that all software is installed etc. A build and capture is still needed despite Microsoft wanting to move to upgrades and resets. Last edited 26th June at AM. I have obviously enabled the action in Task Sequence, selected appropriate Selection Profile, and checked to see if the WinPE settings were set to only apply drivers offline, and not any packages.
Any ideas? Is there something i should be configuring in the Unattend. I have read so many forums already, and none of which seemed to have reveal where i am going wrong with this. I have also tried to configure WSUS to no avail, although in all honesty, it seems as if it's a bit over-kill for our deployment scenarios. Can you explain in more details the process of keeping the images up to date? Do you do Youtube video trainings? I have a WDS server with some images but my boss keep updating an specific program so he wants a fresh image every time.
Don't want to have to create a new single image every time, I'm concern about the Res. RWM file size. As it is, the file is 90,, KB and it grows larger and larger as I upload new images. Also, I know I can only sysprep a machine only 3 times.
